![]() GENJI VS ASHE: Ashe in general is very strong against Dive because of how many sightlines she can control.ĭashing headfirst into an Ashe can prove to be fatal if the Ashe has coach gun on her. Try to stick with drop-down engages, and if you know Zarya has used her projected barrier on someone else, you can try a dash engage - but always, always, BEWARE OF THE BEAM! There’s nothing worse than dashing onto a target only for them to be bubbled, and immediately dying on your engage (The same applies to Blade). Poke at her from out of her beam range (which is 15m).Īdditionally, you want to be tracking her projected barrier. Do NOT take the duel with her if she is at high energy - you’ll die very, very fast. GENJI VS ZARYA: Zarya is a beam hero, so she is naturally a threat to Genji (since Genji obviously cannot reflect beams). You’re probably never ever going to be dueling one another. I like to dash combo Ball when he is at the apex of his piledrive we’ll both land on the ground at around the same time, and then I will start to pressure the ball with right clicks to force him out of my team. ![]() You can dodge piledriver and his boops majority of the time. GENJI VS BALL: Genji doesn’t do much to Ball and Ball doesn’t do much to Genji. That way you can drop down on a target, pressure, and if the Winston starts to zap you, you can dash back to your team for safety. The solution? Don’t be caught out without your dash! You want to stick to mostly drop-down engages from high ground, keeping a dash on hand to get out. He can chase you down if you wall climb away and you’ll die a slow death being zapped by the monkey. If a Winston catches you without a dash, chances are you are dead. It’s a matter of not being caught out without dash. This matchup is very similar to the Winston vs Reaper matchup. GENJI VS WINSTON: While most will describe Winston as a hard counter, he’s a lot easier to play around then you think. Just be aware of it on your engages - if you’re too focused on a target, he’ll rock you and you’ll die. Rock cannot be reflected, but it’s very slow so you can dodge it. He won’t flat out kill you - however, he can deny you a lot and reduce your uptime. His extendable shield is perfect for controlling off angles, so he can block your damage repeatedly. GENJI VS SIGMA: Sigma is super annoying to go against. Sometimes you can peel for a hooked teammate by dashing to the Hog and reflecting the follow up damage. Hogs will most likely try and hook you then, so read the hook and block it with reflect. As said before, Genji double jumps in a predictable arc. However, beware of the hook! If you’re tunnel visioning on a target, a Hog can land a very easy hook on you. It can be very annoying for him to hit you with his left clicks and right clicks, so you can continue to farm him for that ult charge. You can dodge Shatter with double jump and as long as you save a jump when you first pop Dragonblade, you can dodge the shatter if the Rein tries to hit you with it. For the most part, Reinhardt really shouldn’t give you much trouble. Haksal dashes combos the Reinhardt to his size baiting him to turn his shield, only for him to get shattered (This is the famous Eye of the Kaiser play). This can create an opening for your team and diverts attention. Spamming shurikens from an off angle right into Genji can put a lot of pressure, and can bait him to turn his shield towards you to block the damage. GENJI VS REINHARDT: Genji plays very well into Reinhardt. It has a short cooldown, so always be on the look out for it, because it can mess a Genji up a lot. ![]() Halt can destroy you while you’re trying to disengage, when you’re attempting an engage, or dragonblading. Along side that, a well-executed Dash Right Click Melee can force out fortify if you land it right. She’s a super easy target as well, due to her slow moving speed. Poke at her from around her shield, because it’s very annoying for her to deal with you taking the off angle. ![]() GENJI VS ORISA: Orisa herself can be an ult battery. Watch for this if you’re trying to go for a Dash In - Kill - Get Reset - Dash Out engage. The only trouble she could give you is peeling for one of your targets by matrixing you to stop any incoming damage. She’s easy to spam your shurikens into, as well as her having a massive crit box. ![]() GENJI VS D.VA: D.Va, in General, is your ult battery. ![]()
